The Guide
Your guide is Juha Kankaanpää, founder of Fish It Oy and manufacturer of Gearmarket fishing equipment. Juha is a skilled and passionate fisherman as well as a certified fishing guide, having completed the Fishing Guide Qualification (AT). In addition, he holds valid First Aid Certificates (1 & 2), a Chartered Boat Skipper’s License. With over 30 years of fishing experience, Juha is guaranteed to provide the best tips and insights into various fishing techniques. His impressive competition results speak for his wide-ranging expertise in different fish species and trophy fishing.
Equipment
On our guided fishing trips, we use high-quality fishing gear and all the latest seasonal innovations. Excellent equipment combined with a professional guide ensures a first-class fishing experience!
Our boat is a 2025 model Alba 570 casting boat (length 5.75 m) powered by a 150 hp engine. It comfortably accommodates up to four clients for fishing at once. The boat ensures fast and safe access to the best fishing spots so we can spend more time fishing and less time traveling.
During the day, we’ll visit multiple fishing locations and target the fish species of your choice. The boat is equipped with the latest sonar technology, including dual live sonar systems, large displays, and a bow-mounted motor.
On our trips, you can either learn how to use sonar for locating fish and underwater structures or simply keep the screens off and focus on fishing and enjoying nature. Every trip can be fully customized to your needs and interests.

Activities and Excursions on Lake Saimaa
If you’d like to enjoy the stunning waters and islands of Lake Saimaa but fishing isn’t your thing, join us for an archipelago excursion!
We use our Alba 570 boat, which comfortably fits four guests. During the trip, we’ll stop on an island to enjoy snacks prepared by your guide. With a bit of luck, you might even catch a glimpse of the Saimaa ringed seal or the majestic Osprey.
